Description

Martigan's blade shattered the chain. Then he did the unexpected and dropped his weapons at his feet. He captured Vivianna's arm by the wrist and rose back to his feet, holding her aloft while tearing away her loincloth and tossing the scraps behind him. The crowd gasped at the sight. Vivianna too gasped in shock and used her free arm to bat at the hand holding her, in an effort to free herself from his grip. But it held her tightly despite her struggles. _____ Originally I wanted to have the scraps of torn clothing in the scene, but I couldn't get it to work out. I'm still quite a novice.

Thank you much! I have some techniques down fairly well. Others I'm still working on so it's a bit difficult yet each time. And then some of the more advanced things like making & editing textures/maps and adding those extra touches to images I'm barely scratching the surface.

For example when doing these images: I was looking at them and something was missing. Then I realized what it was: shadows from clouds above. It's why the arena is evenly bright everywhere except where the figures themselves fall. I'm sure there's a good way to put cloud-shadows in - that is, in a way so the shadow line isn't as stark as that of the near figures (cloud shadows should have diffuse edges). It could probably be done in either Photoshop or using volumetrics in the render itself. But I don't know how to do it in a way that would look natural, so I just left it.
