Description

This montage is to show a better look at the German Military Cemetery. From the top left to the bottom right: The entrance to the path through a wooded area that led to a small doorway (yes is was dark, but not spooky), the doorway into the burial grounds, the view of the grounds after walking through the doorway, looking back toward the doorway from inside the grounds. In the lower left corner you can see how the crosses are spaced further apart and are wider in order to fit the names of four people on each cross. There were two names listed on each side.

Rather more somber than the American cemetery. I would not want to be buried in some foreign land where no one ever visited.

Very interesting! I am glad they keep these cemeteries in good shape. The soldiers there that gave their lives where not the ones that caused the war!
