Description
Rather frustrated by I-ray's astonishingly long render times, I stopped this render at about 10 percent finished and then applied the GIMP treatment. Astonished that I had never played with GIMP's array of filters before I came to this lovely monochrone image, very retro comic strip style. I hope you enjoy this.
Happy Thursday everyone!

Although this is cool, I much prefer the style you've used before for your comics.

I shouldn't worry. I wouldn't change style halfway through a story but I might experiment a little more with these filters. A Noir Sci-fi adventure sounds a good challenge!

nice work on this scene

Cool look. What strikes me most is she looks SO much like Eva Green (film noir actress). The whole setting could be from one of her films. Though not what you expected or hoped for, this IS a nice piece of art. You could develop this into a personal style. Keep up the good work! :-)

Great treatment for this IRAY. Very fun and original look. Yep...IRAY is slow to render. If you can, just run 'em overnight. I will say the results are usually worth the wait. The trick is to be sure you have what you want before starting the long nights work. On several, I have come back to find exactly what I did not want.
