Description
I'm something of a Buddhist at heart when it comes to living things, including pesky critters like ants.
All the same, I do not want them in my house and they kept barging in uninvited. Something had to be done!
Oh, if only I could talk to the little buggers. Reason with them. Explain they should remain outdoors.
With such noble intentions in mind I promptly created my Antsalator, which would allow me to communicate.
Laying a sugar cube on a plate, I turned on the device and waited. I did not have long to wait.
Suuuugggggaaaarrrr! I heard the little ant exclaim as he came rushing from seemingly nowhere to investigate.
Ah, finally my chance. Dear Mr. Ant...
Suuuggggaaarrr! the ant chanted as he bounded headlong against the cube. Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr!
Yes, Sugar. Now, Mr. Ant, I need to speak with you about....
Suuuggggaaarrr!
Ah, yes, as I was saying....
Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! Like suuuggggaaarrr! Must tell others!
No, ah, wait, ah, don't go! Look, I don't want you and your friends in my house, understand!
Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! More ants come running.
Look! This is my house, not an Ant Farm, so please get out. I do not want you in my house!
Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr! Suuuggggaaarrr!
Oh, bother.
Psssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
(Clunk! Puts down spray can.)
Note to science: It is possible to communicate with the Ant. But rather pointless!

Oh, that was funny background story! The best SF render I've seen so far, you did quite an amazing render on this one. Which lighting did you use?
tetrasnake

What can I say SWEET. Love the back story, made me chuckle. Lucky for me I had already swallowed the coke or it could have gone through my nose, which would tickle causing me to sneeze and making my computer screen pretty funky. Song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JywK_5bT8z0

Must be some of those 'sugar ants' I keep hearing about...
Dang, Rob..... This could easily be mistaken for a photo.. Absolutely great realism, bro.
Glad to see you're getting something great out of PP-11. If I try to do much more than a very simple render, it just crashes. Haven't had time to do any troubleshooting with it.
Anyway, this is jaw-dropping!

@Pixeluna
Believe it or not, I used the P11 default lighting on this one. :)

I'd say this is a sweet render, but then you'd hit me. likely with a shoe. If i see a render with a shoe, I'll know, oh yes, I will....
