Yesterday we had a glorious sunrise. Mt. Hood's shadow on the clouds. Severely cropped for your protection. and I'm not good enough to get rid of the lamp post have a great day and thank you all for your wonderful comments

Wow Mike. You are a lucky guy to have seen something like that. I was never fortunate enough to witness something like this, and I am a 'professional' sky watcher. I think the lamp post gives it some reality. Great capture!

Now that is COOL! I've not seen anything like this, but I can see how it happens... The sun slightly below the horizon, and clouds in the right position. An awesome effect results. What a great shot, Mike!

I think the lamp post frames Mt. Hood nicely. Of course, had I been there with you, there would have definitely been a drone in the air! Imagine an aerial view of this....
