Description

DAZ 4.8 Iray, Direct from render, no post… Learning my way around DAZ is a bit of a challenge, but I am managing to make it work, Iray is a really nice render when you get past the NON Documented features…. Camera settings are still a bit fuzzy to grasp, for this image I managed to find an acceptable DOF / Fstop setting and filter Bloom that works quite well in my opinion... A whole new way of doing things after 12+ years in the Poserverse. Not ready to jump on the G3 bandwagon yet, I think I take some time to explore what V3/V4 have to offer with a bit of Iray treatment... Till then, Thanks for the glance :) Scott

Go on with your experiences of IRAY. This render has got an awesome lighting. You touch one of its secrets: get side light. Try to experiment with the folloing values in Iray Environment tab: Dome rotation 40 > 340 (the dome rotates counterclockwise) and SS latitude 40, SS longitude -112. this will give you an evening sunshine from the left side. To have sun from the right side, change dome rotation to something between 170 and 230. Keep the rest of the settings. then go to tone mapping tab and give burn highlights a value of 0.10 and Crush blacks of 1. this is my standard tone mapping setting. You find it in my last render "Male Akt Of Dusk". I used 3 meshlights however instead of sun plus meshlight.
