Description
Greetings all, Today I offer you the Queen, in all her dark glory,
Originally this was a Stress Test for a GPU enabled Graphics Card. This render ran greater than 8 hours using the CPU render cycles. It completed in about 1 1/2 hours using the GPU render cycle method. Needless to say, going forward with IRAY I will be using GPU cycles. If you have a GPU compatible Graphics Card, I highly encourage you to give it a try.
For those that don't know, a GPU is part of some Graphics Cards A GPU, or graphics processing unit, is used primarily for 3-D applications. It is a single-chip processor that creates lighting effects and transforms objects every time a 3D scene is redrawn. These are mathematically-intensive tasks, which otherwise, would put quite a strain on the CPU. Lifting this burden from the CPU frees up cycles that can be used for other jobs.

You've captured a sense of motion with this render (maybe through the wonderfully wild hair) that makes it seem as if the Queen is about to leap out and take a bite out of us. Wonderful use of the Mortem Vetus prop as well.
