Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

I could see immediately what they were, but I have only ever used two of all the ones I've got, I wouldn't have a clue about the use of the rest of them! Laid out like this it almost looks like some sort of electronic chip or resistor.

HA! I wouldnt know wich foot would be used for what. Only I can see they are for your sewing Machine :-) I think I have 2 for my machine which is used once every 5th year for 5 minutes...My grand daughter has sewed more with it in one weekends, than I ever did. Mine is about 15 years old. :-P

That looks rather complicated. Not a sewer myself, not good at it.

Huh. It never would have occurred to me to take a picture of my sewing gear ... I only think to take pictures of what I MADE with it! This is compelling! (Well, it is for me at least!) I've got a 1965 Singer Golden Touch-n-Sew. Not a computer chip in sight ... it runs different stitches with drop-in cams. Last year I got another Singer, fully mechanical and heavy-duty, for hauling around in the motorhome when we're not in Texas. Spending seven months of the year without a sewing machine just wasn't working out for me. :P
Now you've got me thinking of all the cool photo ops in and around my sewing area. :)
