Description

On sunny days they are very busy feeding, even at this time of year. Bumble bees can generate their own warmth unlike many insects. See a lovely (and child friendly) web-site Here

We had a nice sunshiny day today, but I did not see any bees around. Of course, the windchill may have discouraged them. I had to go out in it and now I am bundled under blankets with extra sweaters on trying to warm myself up again. I am glad this little guy can warm himself up. Thanks for sharing this wonderful shot.

Pretty spring picture. I too like that web site. I like to use it in my educational programs I do at the grade schools.

Looks like this little fellow is in LOVE! Outstanding capture. I went to the web site only to be confronted with an ad for professional pest control. I do like this title. It reminds me of some of those odd little village names like Scratchy Bottom, Piddle River, Bumble-on-Crocus.

I've seen a lot of crocus buds, and some daffodil blooms (mostly the miniature ones), but no crocuses open yet. Of course we're having rain and wind, that might have something to do with it!

Beautiful capture Andrea. I would not have expected that the bees are already active.
