Description

South of Stinson Beach California State Route 1 swung to the east and meandered up to about 700-ft in elevation and back down to join with U.S. Route 101 just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Normally, on clear days one has a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco, but today there were low clouds with a base of about 400-ft., and as soon as the highway climbed higher than that we were in the clouds, i.e. fog. Bah! You're making me home sick! Beautiful photo. I sometimes really miss that fog. It has a different "quality" to it than the fog here. But here (south Sweden) it can be snowing hard and also be thick fog so you can scarcely see the traffic. And a damp cold which hurts your fingers. Keep up the good work and drive carefully! You never know if there's a T.Rex ready to jump at you from behind the next foggy curve! :-)
