Those were my favourite butterflies when I was a kid, we had them all over. I haven't seen one in the wild in decades, though. Did the little girl know it was on her hat? Super shot!

One of your many off-the-cuff finds, showing your keen eye for finding the 'moment' ("the decisive moment," as Cartier-Bresson called it). Not only for the great appearance of a butterfly on the child's cap---I can't tell if it's real or fabric, but it looks real---but also for the wonderful floppy presence (of the cap), and that great smile on the child's face. Cropped well too, allowing that diagonal post-shadow to come in, with bits of people's legs, shoes, etc. Delightful. I'm amazed at how much you get from your old archives. Again, the crop here is perfect, and the few color groups make it almost an abstract design. Really fine piece.
