You have amazing talent!
Radar_rad-dude
This one makes me think of Van Gogh's work for some reason! The texture and flow of lines really makes this a most interesting and superb creation! Bravo and many fine kudos, Jocko!

The sky is a bit spooky! Well done Jock :)

I like this one too, specifically because of the spooky Van Gogh style. It has a bit of an HP Lovecraft thing to it. That guy is probably screaming imprecations at the sky and calling down eldrich forces or something cause you don't call on Cthulhu to order pizza.
VEDES
VERY WELL DONE !!!!

You did a fantastic job. And as a thoughtful painter the use of van gogh stylized art works great for this concept. Very nicely done.

Forgive me for not being here, I've been unable to come back to RR in the last few weeks. But in looking at all your uploads, I read that your mother had died, and I'm terribly sorry. I hope she wasn't in pain, I hope it was a peaceful passing, and I wish her blessings on her journey. And I wish you blessings and comfort on yours, Jock. I'm terribly sorry, and I hope that you and all her loved ones find comfort in her memory. As the saying goes, may her memory be a blessing to all.
I've seen everything of yours, and oh Jock, this series of paintings---the person on the mountain? It's just glorious. I can't comment on all of them now, but I loved them all: I truly can't pick a favorite. Each one has its own vision, its own palette, etc. But this one---yes, I see Van Gogh all over it, and you got Van Gogh's famous sky (from "Starry Night" especially). But it's also a Jock painting, through and through. You make every surface so luminous, and every recess mysterious. I love your use of color: I love the bright blues next to the deep blues, and the yellows and whites next to the oranges and browns. And the flowing-water-quality to the ground and slopes. And of course, the man on the mount, pointing his hand towards the heavens. It has a biblical feel...Real power in these paintings, real beauty. And again, my deepest condolences on your mother's loss, and I hope you'll all have peace in the days to come. My sympathies.
