Description
The phrase 'Entre chien et loup', litterally meaning 'between dog and wolf', is a popular expression to convey the subdued light at dusk, in the twilight hours when it gets difficult to adjust our eyesight to what we are looking at...Shot on a chilly Sunday evening, not far from home... Wonderful twilight shot. I'm French (by birth, though I've lived in the U.S. since the age of five), yet I never heard the expression 'Entre chien et loup', so thanks for teaching me that. At first, I thought the two figures on the path might be the dog & wolf...

Thank you for your comment and glad to hear there's French blood in your veins ! As for the phrase ' entre chien et loup' , it probably dates back from the time when you had to be careful whom you might come across, on getting back home, taking paths and trails here and there in the countryside. I like very much these phrases coming from rural life , whether in the English language or French. Voilà ;-)
