Description
Captured way back on 9/14/04, about half a mile from home.
The fence was ruptured at two separate sections, which strongly suggests DUI or most likely vandalism.

Or maybe someone had a large accident. Both are unfortunate. Excellent shots, though.

Since there were two ruptures several yards apart indicates that this was no accident.

Yikes, that had to leave a mark...great shots of this unfortunate affair; I trust the rupture was subsequently repaired!

Someone had an oops day.

wow, 2004! That's prehistory! I didn't know they even had cameras back then...Your eye for these amazing anomalies was alive as ever. Great captures, never missing these 'events' as you go on your walks. And the tones are different too: In the top shot, you have a warmer palette, with rich greens and a yellow undertone to the fence, and deeper red-browns in the ground. And it's more of an abstract too, with the lines of the building above harmonizing with the lines of the fence and pkg lot. On the bottom, you have cooler tones, emphasizing form, line and texture more. And the angle removes the building behind, and lets us see the contrast of fence with greenery. And the spill of gravel in the fence-opening is harsher. It's a very complex composition, and, with that white sky, a very contrasted piece too. Both are terrific; and kudos once more for stopping to study and shoot such a sight. (Most photographers would walk by.) I love the duo; and btw, your choice of a green divider line---a dark olive green too---is terrific. It brings out the greens in the shots, when we're likely to concentrate on the lighter hues of the fence, etc.
Harry, I'm at an hour and a half, and I have to leave now. But I'll be back for more. I think I did 14 today---amazingly slow, for 90 minutes! (I'm just back, so I'm slower than usual.) Great to be commenting here again. Terrific art as always.
(I just realized, I didn't 'Like' or Fav anything. Sorry! I didn't even think about it! I'm not used to being here again. So please know the whole gallery's a fav---when you write long comments, you forget about these things...)
