Lord, your struggling health sure hasn't held back your art. More on your health in a second, but this is a beautiful, mysterious, so creative and so specific, inventive vision-of-a-piece. Wonderful detail, wonderful 'specifics' in the jeweled lines and shapes on the canopies, in the highlighted jewel-silver-like lights on the stems and sinews. And the feeling of a series of domes, where people may work or live; or maybe they're just there for protection, or for ceremonial purposes. And the long pillars that hold them up are so fascinating and sinewy and rich. And filled with jeweled accents throughout. And a ground of criss crosses, almost like a carpet, in greens and reds and blues and olive browns. And your background---what an inventive thing! It's almost like a back-drop, like a screen in the back of a theater performance: It suggests a sky, but is also a flat 2 dimensional screen, on which some of the forms project their shadows. What a creative "end" to this scene, so unexpected! And the smaller dome on the left is like someone who came to visit...with a curtain in the left top corner. A most inventive and beautiful image, Barb, and while I'm not here these days, I wanted to come here to wish you all the best with your health, and hope that whatever you have will get better, and that you're doing ok. I was very sorry to hear you've had health problems. You gave us a beautiful image, in the midst of it; thank you (and thanks for your always caring comment, as always); and I hope you'll get better soon. Take care of yourself! Great image.
