Description

I came across this beautiful photograph http://anderskirkegaard.deviantart.com/art/Fragile-168948961 and immediately felt challenged to try and recreate that pose in Poser. Turns out real people are a lot more flexible than their virtual counterparts (not counting myself of course ;-) ) Since it wasn't my intention to try and make an exact copy, my image ended up as no. 3 in my Gold-series. Really a nice pose by the model and by you for tediously setting it up (LOL). The bunching of the muscles in the pectoral-deltoid area of the upper shoulder and the twisting of the triceps-biceps on the upper arm are usually reality killers for most people. You have done an excellent job in these areas. Wonderful presentation.

The tools by Xameva are a great help for this if you're using V4 as I did for this image. V6 has some more possibilities to bend, but the results are not always better than the V4 + Xameva tools combo. So before starting out on an image I try to make an educated guess on which would probably be the best suited for it. Sometimes I get it right ;-)

For the hair I made use of the TGX hair shader for Octane render. When using this I usually have to change the specular settings, here as well. Might be my way of setting up lighting though.

This is an absolutely awesome work you did! I changed to Genesis 3 as my favorite figure, after years of using V4. I never found a character that bends so naturally as Genesis 3. Seeing your picture now makes me rethink of V4. You nailed a pose so naturally and life like as I never expected to be possible with V4! Very well done.

Thank you. I haven't tried Genesis 3 yet because it would mean quite an investment again. But I see some interesting messages about using Genesis 3 in Poser en reusing V4 and Genesis 2 textures en morphs on Genesis 3. So I might give it a try.
