Beautifully done. Interesting means of highlighting the hair. I don't think I;ve seen it done quite that way before.

Different than your normal wonderful work but still those colors (and the lack of color), the angle and of course the overall design makes this one of your best!

A very complex portrait, with lots of "splashes" around the edges. I love the free open brush lines too---on the left and at the bottom. A very "dry" brush, with air in between the strands: Very expressive and brusque (not a 'negative' brusque, just an objective brusque).

You use straight lines here more than in many of your portraits: Her blouse's neckline (her lapels), the actual line of her neck, the lines of her upper arm and wrist, and the fully squared purse/bag that she's carrying. I love that big chunk of rectangular black there! And---you let some of the bag's ornament spill onto her body...I love that!

It's great to see you work with straight lines as well as curved. And the woman's gaze is---once again---both intelligent, beautiful, and slightly inviting. Slightly---she does appear a bit cautious, but you've given her 'curiosity'---she's slightly inquisitive. And her hair has some thin lines carved into it, almost like Japanese decorative combs. And your few green-blues, reds, pinks and flesh-tones are perfect amidst all this black and while. Masterful work!
