Description

"It's likely." Eve said. "I'd say that a mind should not oppose the transfer into a body with very similar DNA. It'd prevail also on the guest's mind easily. Is that what you mean?" Flaw summed up. Eve shrugged: "I just know that for centuries the Nagas have looked for a captain among the S'skash, the Rasharr and the Eartheners, but it never worked up until we found JS. He is the only one who managed to summon the ships through me." "So it's a priority to get Sea's body." G-15 stated. "Exactly. Sea is my son, he has my DNA." Flaw agreed. "Sea has Gray DNA too. That's what made him unique, otherwise he'd have failed as the other Earthlings had. The ships are ancient Gray technology we lost memory of. Sea is our business." Lady G-8 trumped. She began to talk to G-15 in Gray tongue. From Flaw's face the two spoke in jargon too quickly: he couldn't understand them well and this made him conspicuously nervous. Eve felt the two were discussing to let Flaw take over JS's body but, if the experiment worked, Flaw's mind would be supplanted by G-0's. "Can you elaborate on the concept?" Lady G-8's question startled Eve. "If the recipient is anesthetized, does the transfer work more easily?" Eve shook her head: "I don't know how telepathy works! You're babbling on about this DNA stuff. Nonsense! The First Ship gifted our people with telepathy. Each generation a Naga is born - she cantilated. - The Old Naga's messengers go to the countryside looking for gifted girls and the Old Naga chooses her heir. It's a gift of the gods!" "One wonders why these DNA mutations happen to those who don't deserve it!" Flaw muttered sotto voce and said: "I suggest to stop the experiments until we understand better how it works and capture Sea. As for Mrs Cyfer, I'd sent her to the Body Bank." "Ahem, if I may, Sir, you could give her to us ... the guys need a little entertainment." Badu said fawningly. "Take her, then to the Bank." Lady G-8 decided. "Bastards!" Eve thought. She couldn't tolerate the idea that a person could be treated that way. "Your Graces." a panic-stricken Gray hurried in. "Sea captured the Pod-ship." Forgetting the others' presence, the Grays consulted, their anger seeped from their voices like a buzz of furious wasps. Flow blanched: "Damn!" "What?" 3TC asked, from the look of his face he meant business. "Sea attacked the Pod-ship. I never thought he would put her in danger, his trump card." a terrible edge of frosty fear poisoned Flaw's voice. "It would be better to call for a Wabi company's support." 3TC cawed. "Call them ASAP!" G-15 ordered. JS's move had clearly caught them by surprise. "Jay is coming to settle the bill." Eve remarked sardonically. "You wanted him so much, now he's coming and you'll get your comeuppance." "Rejoice not, girl! Even you aren't safe: the man is a brutal killer!" G-8 shouted. "I'll die happily if it means your bloody race goes to hell!". Eve shouted back. "Sea was my best operative: deadly, ruthless, cold, calculating, one that wouldn't stop in front of any bastardry. I assigned him to black ops even Badu didn't dare to do. There was something creepy about JS." 3TC murmured. Eve suppressed her urge to sneer: "Of course, Badu is too dumb to do astute tasks." but she said: "Jay is a good man. He saved us and did everything to avoid the war!" "Silly girl, he just attacked a hospital ship!" Lady G-8 yelled. "Bullshit! Jay would never do such a thing!" Eve said. "Not the Jay you know, maybe." Flaw said. "He is unstable, we told you; it's a side effect of some DNA fragments. His madness suddenly snaps, and then he kills in a bloody spree." "You lie! I never saw him do reprehensible actions!" Eve retorted. "You don't know ..." Flaw's voice was barely a whisper. "Jay killed his mother, my beloved wife. He set her on fire and fled."

This one is brilliant. I do not need to read the text - the poses, atmosphere, emotion, expression speak for themselves. First class, bravo!
