They have done well this year. I cut the stems once the flowers are nearly all open as they last much longer in water than on the plant. See a yellow one Here

Gorgeous; I love orchids, have 5 on my kitchen table right now and probably 20 in the greenhouse. The very first one I ever had came from a friend and it grew out of its huge pot and into the ground. It's 3 feet across and nearly 4 feet hight!!
