I finally got my new computer set up enough to return to posting about my vacation from last September. So now I will continue with the next day and the story of Isabel de Gea and Notre Dame de Beauregard. After having spent much of the day before riding in the car to visit Lake Verdon we wanted to do some hiking. We had noticed the spire from a church on the mountain above the entrance to our campground along with a trail to hike up there. We decided that would be a nice little hike. We hiked a nice trail with lovely views of the campground and small lake below. It was a beautiful weather day with the temperatures just right for hiking. When we were almost to the top the trail came out onto a small road and we realized we could have driven the car right up to the church from the village of Orgon . But, we enjoyed the hike anyway. These are some of the views from the trail looking down at the campground and surrounding area. I will tell more about Isabel de Gea and the church and ruins in following posts.
