Captured back on 8/15/09, at the beautiful Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, in beautiful San Marino, California.

A beautiful place to take a walk. A super capture with the grass looking so lovely and green and the gazebo making a great focal point. ☺

Lately, you've shown some wonderful shots of angled land. Your "Green Slant on Things" (a title's close to that) is a perfect example. This is another of those illusive shots, because we are pretty much level, yet everything it slanted to our left. And capturing the people there gives real perspective to the shot, and they're definite proof that this landscape is slanted. A fine contrast of big open ground in the lower half (in beautiful hues), with lush trees above that, and then sky. And the gazebo is a beautiful little 'Greek monument' in the middle of it all. I expect to see a Greek god pop out of there...Very sweet strata (so to speak) and composition. And the tilt really does create a marvelous illusion.
(Btw, this is the first time I've ever heard the word "sward". I'm 67, and it's my first time. I had to look it up.)
