Description
Or, rather, one of my two smoke detectors, this one captured 3/9/16 @ 8:59 am. Recently installed, it has a 10-year life span, with no changing of the battery over that period.

So it is a good one, when it lasts for so long time. :)

I didn't know batteries could last that long, what a great idea. Excellent shot in the slanted sunlight!

I said "2," but as long as I'm back in March, I had to do this one too. (I did all of April, I think, but I'm missing much of May so far, and part of previous months too...) Another of your near-abstract shots with plenty of texture, and where shadow and light play a major role. The hues are largely of a beige/khaki tone, but you got lots of variety via shadows and the stucco texture. I assume this is a ceiling, and you're looking up? Your angle makes it look like it's on the floor, but I doubt you'd put a smoke detector on the floor, lol...in any case it's a very strong abstract, with wonderful early light and a complex composition---which is elusive because at first glance it seems very simple, when in fact it's not. Another terrific job with this style, Harry. You master these types of shots with total aplomb...

No, the smoke detector is mounted on a vertical wall, part of a stairwell.
