Description

I started the initial build of this hot rod about 1 year ago but lost interest half way through the build due to the instability of Hexagon 3D ver 2.5. Recently Nevercenter announced a new version of Silo3D in 64 bit and offered it at a sale price, I decided it was time to jump ship. Silo3D is a very pleasant modeling experience. This hot rod is a version of the traditional styled hot rods I grew up with in the 1960s. I was a hot rod addict when I was a youth. I would have the kitchen table a mess of 1/25th car model plastic kit parts much to my Mom's chagrin as she busied herself in the kitchen trying to get supper ready and later to have me pack up my model parts so she could get the table ready for evening's dinner. The engine is from the panel truck model I created earlier.

I remember seeing ads for Silo, I've never tried it but from this screen grab it seems quite capable. As for using your engine you made before it will help speed up the workflow and it's a cool model in itself.

Well done Ken and keep up the good work !

~Cheers~

Yes, Silo3D exports as an obj. That's how I transferred the object from Hexagon to Silo3D. And then from Silo3D to 3DCoat and Vue Compelte... Not sure if one unit=1 cm or not....

Hedman Hedders is for Chevies but you could do Fenton headers. It was a place in Michigan and a source for cast iron before tube headers. Pussy footing around the generator, Pitman arm and drag link will get me no where. On a flathead you have to decide. BA/L or newer the water outlet is on the top front of the head. 59A/B or earlier it's on the center top of the head where you have the oil filter. The original 32 had the outlet on the front of the head at the top? Go look!!
