Description
I had no idea what to create when I first started, so the idea just came to me as I worked on it.
Tis a scene from a pretence low budget UFO movie. Silver foil saucers, strings included :)
The saucer model was created in good ol' forms editor. Brought into detail editor, edges selected and fractured to increase poly count. 8 Cubes stretched and used as window frame bits and merged with saucer. Then a black and white noise image was used with Applique to give it a bumpy image. And RJJCrush2Bump used to give a foil texture.
Same techinque for stars used as with bobbys. Thanks for that bobby and Clae :)
Image rendered at 1280x960 with DOF, took bout 10 hours in trace, only 30 seconds in scanline :(
Scaled down to 800x600 in photoshop and brightness and contrast increased to 15 and 20 respectively. (Could hardly see the stars before)

Very nicely done - simple idea but makes good use of the tools.

I love it! Reminds me of some of my own movies when I was a kid!
