There is a time When winter sheds Its icy skin Where pods hold miracles Deep within And nature casts Her seeds With wild abandon Into the wind A time to welcome The birth of spring. Inspired by the new buds of green on the trees down the mountain. I guess you can tell I get excited about spring. When I lived in So. California I hardly noticed the changing seasons. Since I’ve been in Colorado, I really love seeing the new life sprouting everywhere. This is a mixed medium artwork combining alcohol inks and digital painting, from my Organica Collection. The verse really captures the sense of those winds rushing through the old seed heads. A fabulous painting very beautifully created and with excellent use of the inks. Down here I love to see the changing seasons too, though I am not looking forward to winter coming. We had our first frost of autumn this morning. Brrrrrrr... ☺
