Description

March 8th 1862. The USS Monitor arrives at night in Hampton Roads after a hazardous trip from New York under tow. Pulling up next to the grounded USS Minnesota, she has to wait until the morning for that legendary battle with the CSS Virginia. in the distance, the last victim of the Virginia, USS Congress will burn for a little while longer until the flames reach the powder magazine and finishes her off in a spectacular way.
