Beautiful shot! I've always loved travel by train too.

Man, do I remember this from the 1950s and 60s! Nice, comfortable, sight seeing at ground level, good food, nice travel companions. Too bad the "speed need" took passengers from the trains to the airplanes. I don't know when or where this photo was taken, but it shows the sleek streamline shape and some of the things passengers don't see - the hose reminding us about the service/maintenance needed to keep these trains running. Keep up the good work! :-)

This was under the Train Shed at St Louis Union station in January 2016. The speed is over-rated, you get off an airplane and just feel sticky. Last train excursion I went on was in 2013, and was so relaxed. Got the sleepette, so rode in the Pullman, the ticket cost included two meals, and the Pullman has a shower. So, when I de-boarded the train, was refreshed, and ready to go about my day.
