Description

As in: neo-liberalism is wrecking world economy by making it something completely fictitious. Which means the top reaches royal/imperial/even godlike stature, but this is only possible by slowly sucking everybody else dry. They live fantasy lives far removed from our daily grind. In my country we have a prime minister who is proud of having no vision. His idea is that a vision just stands in the way of day-to-day pragmatics. I think he's the only one publicly admitting it, but all his western colleagues are no different. I say: without a vision you're just messing around. And that is exactly what the western world has been doing lately. But fairy tales never last, and this one will end too. So we see those WITH a vision -however wrong- gain influence: Putin strives to rebuild the Sovjet state and sphere of influence, IS wants to reinstate the Caliphate, I'm starting to suspect that Erdoghan dreams of growing Turkey to a new Ottoman empire and around here the neo-fascists are marching. And this fairy tale won't last either: the "visionaries" will increasingly dictate what the world will be like, or the neo-liberals will finally have sucked us completely dry and then perish themselves, because moving fictional numbers around from one computer to another doesn't grow food or provide one with shelter. Or we "normal people" will finally come to our senses and start acting. And I don't mean violence that just begets violence; just say "NO" to the visionless and the false visionaries. There are countless initiatives that are slowly building an alternate society, get informed about them. And everyone can contribute in whichever small way, starting with things like buying your next t-shirt made of bio-cotton made by people earning decent wages, by buying food that isn't poisoned, if possible from a local farmer, by getting your next lunch or coffee from a neighborhood shop not part of a huge chain. It's better for your health, for your peace of mind and for the world and your children and grandchildren in it. When "democratic" elections are bought, vote by spending your money elsewhere.

Very poignant image and statement. I've just seen a series on YouTube suggesting the demise of the dollar in May 2016. The attitudes of the big people is one of playing with huge sums of money - to them it's a game. And when they bring down the dollar, they will fall, too, while blaming everyone else. And then the people with political agendas who see us as pawns, useful idiots to build their utopian (to them) empires. I agree with Voltaire - "...but we must cultivate our garden." (last sentence in his book "Candide"). Keep up the good work! :-)

Maybe time to feed T.Rex with a few of them?!

Hi Terry, missed you man. Apparently I was looking in the wrong place: DA 😀

A fortnight ago the European Central Bank lowered interest rate to 0% and started pumping 80 billion Euro into the economy every month. That's money they just pull out of their hat and has no counter value whatsoever in the physical world. They hope that since saving your money actually lessens its value people start spending more and so stimulate economy, and the banks will provide loans more easily. Every halfwit sees that this could very easily backfire but not the president of the ECB. So maybe that's good news for the dollar, because the euro might fall first :-(

That must be your mind then. If I think long and hard about your remark, I take it you are referring to the beak and the hat. Let me tell you that was the traditional working outfit for physicians in time of the plague. The bird beak like mask contained herbs that were supposed to protect them from catching the disease. Little did they know, just as our neo-liberals of today. And I guess you didn't read my text at all.
