Description

Lots of tiny shells for lots of big wishes for you, Mark! Happy Birthday, I'm sorry I'm late with the wishes. There were thousands of tiny shells on the beach. This was taken last October in Salem, MA. Thanks for looking and commenting!

What a great find , there must have been a big storm out at sea to dislodge all of these. A beautiful capture with lovely clarity. ☺

A most amazing collection. From the thumbnail, I thought there were skulls in the pile too! Fantastic capture! Bravo!

Thank you so much for this, Barb, you already did a dedi for me, and I'm very flattered that you did this as well. (And don't worry about not knowing---how would you know, unless you stumbled over something or someone that told you...Besides, I'm 67 and I'm not sure I want the world to know anymore, lol.) I love the pileup you got here, you zeroed right into the middle of it, and I don't know that I've seen such a tight coagulation of shells on a shore before---not like this. Admittedly, I haven't been on that many shorelines, but this is really intense! You got clarity on so much of this, and real highlights too, and deep shadows. And I love the variety of shells. I think I see some skulls too (ala Nancy), even full size. Fine light too---you shot this (and postworked if that applies) keenly, for contrast and razor sharp detail, esp on the lower half. And tactility. Thank you so much for doing this; it's never too late, and it was very kind of you esp when you're offline for a long period of time. I hope you're doing ok, and that your health is getting better. It's always a treat to have you here again---I know I said that before, but some things bear repeating. All my best to you, and thank you for this beautiful photo.
