Gorgeous!

I have a special place in my heart for ginger cats; they seem to have more attitude than most others, at least in my experience. This one clearly thinks that the length of that shadow is a truthful reflection of his height! Excellent capture, Harry!

You get wonderful contrast between bold hues and shapes and very gritty detail: This is a perfect example. Yes, the shot is about the cat and its shadow---and it's terrific at that. The lonnnnnng shadow really brings out the compact soft presence of the cat. But it's also about that contrast of cat-and-shadow with the minimalist grain and cracks of the sidewalk. Like you created that as a background, yourself. I know you didn't, but that brings out how fast and right your eye is. I love the contrast---the sidewalk is one of your typical morning concrete shots, simple but alive and bristling close up. And on top that---a beautiful cat, casting a long dark splotch across the concrete. (And nice shadow on the front of the cat too.) And the upper horizontal line---the one that crosses just under the cat's head---is a wonderful contrast with the opposite angle of the cat's shadow. Also, the blue squiggle near the top of the shot, and the ragged crack near the bottom, make this another beautiful 'abstract' from you. You have become instinctive and quick with shots like these: This moment can't last long, and you saw it, knew it was right, and you shot. Ba-da-boom. Beautiful work. And sharp impeccable postwork.
