Nice closeup, my friend. Looks like gorse, or in Northern Ireland / parts of western Scotland, 'whin'. The petals were traditionally, in some areas, boiled up to make a yellow dye to colour boiled eggs at Easter time, as long as they were ready at Easter, which is a variable date feast day ... ;o) God bless your eye for detail and your art work.
