Description

The dragons were definitely laughing and the sound they made was a low melodious rumble, it filled NarieFah's ears and made them tickle. She started giggling and that made the dragons laugh even more. Surprised by this Caleya turned just as the middle dragon started to speak, it was still chuckling when it said, "Long has it been since my kind has laughed with Elven friends. Do not be distressed Caleya daughter of ThrovanGar, the egg is not lost and your young companion has done well in choosing its hiding place. The Orc beast has moved out of harms way, but it has not gone far, there is a cart just over the hill and we will retrieve it". Then one of the dragons launched itself into the air and flew off. NarieFah was looking wide eyed at Caleya and said, "Princess Caleya, you didn't tell me your father was ThrovanGar." Caleya replied, "My family hasn't held any status for generations, I am just a Dragon Archer, and PLEASE don't call me princess anymore!" The dragon waited for them to finish and then continued speaking, in a deep voice it said, "My name is Aurora, at the time of the Red Dragon's rebellion I was just a yearling but I remember all that happened. My two companions are younger and neither has seen our kindred before today. But for us time and experiences are not so important because among dragons we can share memories." Caleya had guessed the dragons could read their minds and asked Aurora, "is that how you can know our thoughts?" Aurora answered, "No, the ability to read Elven thoughts was given to us by your ancestors. It was useful before we learned your language, but it is Elven magic and you can easily block it, I'll help you remember." Suddenly Caleya and NarieFah remembered the encounter when the Elven spell masters first learned how to communicate with dragons. It was as if they had been present that day and now that they understood the magic, they also knew how it could be blocked. This put Caleya at ease and she decided to keep her mind open to the dragons. She said, "That was an amazing experience! Thank you for showing us Aurora, I would like to learn more about the history of Elves and Dragons." Aurora said, "There will be time for that, but now I must introduce my companions. "Off retrieving the cart is Cloudripper, he is powerful on land and on wings. Still by my side is the dragon Storm, he is fast and an agile flier." Storm dipped his head in greeting, first to Caleya and then to NarieFah. "We came because your friend the Great Eagle found us and told us all that has happened and about NarieFah's great discovery. When we learned of this the three of us set out immediately, for we feared that our cousins would also learn of the discovery and try to destroy the hatchling." NarieFah told Aurora, "The Great Eagle friend told us help was coming but we never imagined it would be Green Dragons. No one in the Kingdom knew you still existed and many even doubt the old stories." Aurora said, "It was necessary for us to go into hiding, but I see now it was a mistake not to have returned. We abandoned our Elven friends to carry on the fight with the Red Dragons alone and that was wrong. I must return home with the hatchling but Storm and Cloudripper will remain with you and others will follow. I also make this promise, the Green Dragons will never again abandon our Elven friends! Caleya was delighted at the prospect of gaining such powerful allies and she said, "The Sun floods all the lands with its warmth and light, but the world would be a cold, dark place without friends." Aurora was impressed by her words and replied, "Well said, very well said Caleya daughter of ThrovanGar. You are indeed of the royal line of Gar" NarieFah was beaming at Caleya and she whispered very quietly so she would not be heard, "Only a princess could impress a dragon, she really is a Princess!" -------- I hope you enjoy this continuation. Thank you for viewing and previous comments - I very much enjoy reading them!

That is a big surprise for the rank of Caleya; and could help her to bring her people in a fight to the end of red dragons. Because it's sure now, the red dragons are in problems until the top of their necks lollllll It's sweet to see quiet dragons talking with girls :) A wonderful picture!
