Description
Taken in the Japanese garden in Lithia Park last week. I thought I had posted a previous shot of this tree & a quick search revealed that I had, almost two years ago. In the previous shot, it had leaves & the surrounding bushes & trees had flowers, but I think I like this bare-limbed version better. I also noticed from my comments at the time that it was the 1,000th photo I had posted & realized that there is now no longer any way to tell how many photos you've posted. Or is there a way that I just don't know about?
Please zoom.

I really like this bare-branch version too. You can see all the lovely twistiness of it. Yes, I do make up my own words in case you were wondering. I also like the way the tree is more the center of focus without the other plants and flowers detracting from it in any way.. As far as counting goes...I never knew how to see that before so I am no help there.

Delightful capture - definitely looks alien in structure.

I love it!

This tree is a fabulous shape and you have caught it beautifully. ☺

... a beautiful old tree, which seems to have plenty of moisture for its extensive root system.
I don't see total numbers posted, but multiply 18 times the number of pages and you will have a near number (18X113=2,034)
You have both quantity and quality.

calico_jester - Not sure where you're getting the 18 number from, as I see about 50 images per page (though I think the exact number will vary based on how many photos are landscape format or portrait format). So you're right that you can APPROXIMATE the number of photos you've posted by multiplying photos per page (roughly 50, at least in my case) by the total number of pages, but you can't tell that a particular photo is, for example, number 2000, without going through a very tedious process (which I have no desire to go through). Before the "Renderosity Revolution", that number was provided to us directly. Not a huge deal for me personally, but a minor annoyance that could easily be fixed...

Wow, shades of bonsai. One of my favorite types of trees, typically Japanese, surrounded by much greenery, and so splendidly displayed in this colorful, highly textured shot. Love the roots rising from the ground, as if in a state of defiance.

I love the shapes these trees take, and this one seems to have been lovingly tended and nurtured; gorgeous nude portrait!
