Beautiful line work, Yves---this painting is nothing but black and white......with the exception of two patches of gray (your signature, and a piece of the devil's wing...perhaps that's a shadow too...)

Your line work is beautiful. The hair of the two women flows like water. So do the feathers of the angel's wings. And the angel's hair morphs (transformer) into calligraphy---almost Celtic ornament. You have similar ornament on the devil's body---flamboyant lines mixed with angled, "celtic" lines. Even the angel's hips and buttocks are drawn with calligraphic lines...and her heal is calligraphic too. The devil's legs are calligraphic too...Beautiful lines, Yves, these two women are part human and part river and part calligraphy. They flow.

A beautiful drawing of seduction...the angel is seduced by the dark pawers of the devil---and the devil has a black face. But while this seduction is dangerous, it also feels like love. Our angels and devils need to be inside of all of us, for us to be whole. Your painting has danger but beauty. A beautiful piece, and beautiful line-work...you vary the thickness of your lines like a great calligrapher, even though these lines are clearly painted on. Beautiful work.
