I am so far behind with comments that I am going to cheat and just comment once here for all the knarly bark photos because this one is my favorite. :) They are all unique, interesting and artistic. It seems that you had some serious fun fiddling. Some day I am going to fiddle too, but not today as I have much catching up to do.

(I can't help but think that a "gnarly bark" is from a dog who's 'gnarly'...) Yes, multicolored, but it's boldly so. It's like someone came along and painted it in bold hue-groups. Or the bark was left out to mold. Or someone spilled paints on it. A pretty wild affair. Those pink-reds are in strong contrast to the greens and blues. Like an infra-red shot, or a print where the colors didn't sync up. (I don't even know if that happens anymore...I'm thinking of the old 3 color newsprint: When the colors weren't in sync, it was awful! Maybe you came into the print field after that kind of thing was common...)
