Description

Caught these two surfers nearly colliding off the Huntington Beach pier. Things were a little crowded right there!! I just read about some surfers north of LA who are so possessive of "their" spot, they're resorting to violence to keep others away. Too bad a few idiots ruin it for others.

HB is crowded all the time- especially by the pier. From the viewer's pov, the guy on the left has the right of way and should get the wave.

Yes, you read about the Lunada 'Bay Boys', who are nothing but a bunch of middle aged losers who are stuck in the 90s w/ the localism..

Due to surfing become bigger and bigger, and also all the other different modes of it (i.e. SUP, Wind/Para Surfers) out there..Localism is a thing of the past and just stupid..

Great shot! :D

Everything changes. Back in the sixties things were more like family. This is a very good action shot.

First thing I noticed was the light shining through the wave...then the expression on the moan's face. Sorry to here there are idiots out there messing up the surf scene nowadays.

Yikes! Kind of hard to steer under those conditions...
