Surreal.. when this came up on my monitor, it was like catching a glimpse out of a window of a plane, at something you REALLY didn't want to see!! :-)

This model was modified for maximum power. The "drop tanks" are boosters. It hit somewhere around Mach 7 but was damaged by the extreme heat. I think it still holds the speed record for powered flight.

Been away on a mission then? I don't know much about this sort of hardware but the stuff you model has a way of bringing out the beauty of the designs. The cockpit looks kind'a sharp and menacing like a hawks eyes. Neat work on the textures. I take it that the atmosphere looks the way it does cos we are way way up there?
