Description
Madam: How long have you worked here? Two years? You still look a pretty useless object, don't you - get busy and tidy this apartment!
Bot: Yes, madam.
Madam: I want this floor swept and polished - and no sweeping the dust under the carpet; I know what you lazy creatures are like - not much better than the human servants I fired this morning. You'll have to do their work too now; I can't afford a household full of lazy servants! Right - get the furniture dusted and polished - shining bright, mind you. You never get things exactly as I want, do you?
Bot: I do my best, Madam.
Madam: There's all the pots and pans and cutlery from last night's meal to clear, wash and put away; and the beds need to be made. Get that crate down to the cellar; and while you're there you might as well get it thoroughly clean and turn out the rubbish for the bin men.
...
Who knows what goes on in the mind of the robot? Does it just obey, obey and never think about the way it is treated, or perhaps... some day, in a cluttered cellar something will catch its attention ...
...
Bot: Madam! Would you come down here, please?
Madam: Why?
Bot: I think there are some things of great value to you down here; please come down and confirm.
...
Oh dear. Something snapped.
They'll never know who did it; bots have no fingerprints and no dna for the forensic detectives to study.
I've been such a bad boy today, Mr Asimov.

Nice pastiche of scenes. It depends on the programming. We project ourselves on machines and pets. You know to a cat its owner is a female because humans treat cats like female cats do. It's a good idea to read up on the body language and such of pets. It makes communication with them less delusional. A robot could be programmed to act like Mahatma Gandhi or a school shooter. Look at the recent tweeterbot Microsoft made and then withdrew rapidly. One thing though, the robot would not react to Madame the way that you or I would.
