I don't mean to stay stuck back in April, but this whole random thing is hard when I want to comment on every image. When this went up, I thought "perfume bottle from another planet," or a strange god. It's hard not to feel mythic beings in your pieces, even if not intended. Another way of saying that would be, we all have those forms deep in us, and you bring them out brilliantly. The central sitting thing is wonderfully 'being'-like, and yet it does feel like a bottle with intricately carved silver all around it. And it sits on a highly ornate surface, and against a ditto background. Actually it's a bit like a mirror, but it isn't. You have these larger star like figures, the result of fractal activity; and some are very large and broad, resting against what looks like a pool of transparent liquid, with a pale pink cast throughout. It's haunting. And your light is mystical in spots, like something from out of frame graced its light upon various surfaces. And then, it almost feels like this metal being is sitting in a trash yard, with discarded fractal throwaways that no one bothered to clean up. More wonderful work, Mandi.
