Description

The photo was taken in my hometown near a restaurant. To be honest: I am not sure if this really is a bicycle stand. However, for me it looks very nice. Thank you very much for viewing, commenting and rating.

Christian, I've been away a lot, and I haven't left comments for a while. Tonight I'm leaving just a few comments; but I hope to return for a longer session soon. It's been a while since I've commented in your exceptional gallery.

I love this photo. Your lines are so clean, your composition is so clear and elegant. I love the angle, and how it allows the curve of the walkway to envelop the whole picture. And I love those abstract bicycles---maybe they are a bicycle stand, I don't know; but as abstract sculptures, they're terrific. And your angle lets us see them "in context," with the highly varied shapes and forms behind them. You have such fine linear language too: The handlebars of the closest bicycle are lined-up with one of the mullions of the windows behind it. The curve of the brick sidewalk touches the right edge of the picture. The dark grill-line of the inner sidewalk is beautifully lined-up with the line of the bike in front of it, etc. Wonderful work, expert composition. I'll be back for more soon...
