after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

Excellent Magazine Cover! Great artwork!

Like I've said, of your other magazine covers, you design like you've had lots of experience in layout and design. Another terrific cover splash, with a (deserved) tribute to Rod in the mix. Your color scheme, in the trio of women, is very strong: Red and black, with white in front to really draw us in. And she's got black and blue under that great coat (sharp contrast), and a deep crimson head of hair, with purple streaks, to really make her stand out. The background has all these riveted bases (chair bases I assume) and lines in the floor, a geometric fair. And the kind of background Rod uses, and bright blues and greens behind them, to give light to this very complex spread. As usual, your mix of fonts is lots of fun, and the isbn thing and the other thing (for scanning from smartphones?), more treats. A real eye treat...And the boots of the two flanking ladies have real sheen, which adds a real accent to the whole. Terrific job as always. I gotta assume these take real time.
