Description

I’ve created this image with iRay Daz|Studio 4.9 in order to know if sea and landscapes could be as good as those Carrara can make. I think the result is more than acceptable.

That is gorgeous. Please tell me, jerife, which Daz product did you use to create the main island? I'm trying to create some landscapes with Daz Studio, as well, and I feel I'm getting closer, but I'm not happy with the landscape yet.

Thanks Nanstein, I copy what I wrote on my DA Gallery : " I converted this Island I had done with Carrara Terrain creator to the vertex modeller, exported as object, applied three geoshells over it and converted it into a prop with four shader layers; Stonemason rock is one, Through the Woods terrain shader is another and the other two being the two Mosses from Catharina’s vol 2, Organic folder."

So if you have Carrara you can do whatever terrain model you want and once finished you can convert it to other modeller which is a one click option in Carrara. I found it worked better with a couple of subdivisions afterwards. Once an obj you can export it to DS I am sure there are some free version of Carrara that can serve you right out there as terrain modeller is in the program from long time ago. Thanks for liking it.
