Description

Well, one day perhaps! lol Thing is, it IS possible to modify Genesis to work in Poser 11 so, surely it is only a matter of time that Smith Micro, will enable a workaround to handle Genesis in one of their service packs! I have spoken to various Beta testers who assure me that Smith Micro developers, have been asked for a number of improvements and to be honest, as with ANY other version of Poser, they GET THERE IN THE END! So, I will one day soon, be buying the prettier Genesis gals (are there any more beautiful than V4)? I think Superfly, is SOoooo superior to DS in that most DS skin I have looked at looks POWDERY, like an optical illusion! Not nice at all, unless you hammer the hell out of all available memory for 9 hours! lol I'm rendering now at Pixel Samples set at 50!!!!! Should be done in an hour or two! lol That is going to look HEAPS better than DS any day of the week! Poser isn't free, but at least no one is vetting all that you add to your runtime! Cheeky blighters! What the hell has the contents of my runtime got to do with Daz? They're WAY more expensive than Renderosity and it's just a shame that this Exodus toward DS is unjustifiable, considering the restrictions being imposed upon the artist! Alright then, I'll definitely be able to buy some of RPublishing's/Rhiannon's sophisticated outfits! Well, Superfly wasn't too clever to begin with, but on the left here you will see a pretty gal rendered in Superfly, using a specially designed skin texture for the task. On the right, we have the same pretty gal, but rendered in Firefly, using Parrot Dolphin's lovely Cloth Textures on both. I forgot to make the GROUND invisible on the Superfly version, so, cut the legs off of the Firefly version, to absorb into the Superfly legs I discarded with GROUND attached! lol Popped it all together with Bez's lovely Eclectic Backgrounds and we have a picture with atmosphere. NO POSTWORK WHATSOEVER, except for a slight lightening of both sets of eyes (like they do to all the best models) lol Oh and I chopped one set of legs off and massaged one skin texture into the other, to hide the join!! My next posting will be of the same girl rendered in Superfly, with a pixel sample of 20 which should take a fair while! Thank you for stopping by. Your comments are always very much appreciated. Steve ;)

Now if I was only sure which was which. I note the beauty mark on the lip is gone on one version. I would imagine the one with the mark is the Superfly version. I tried a max Superfly render and it was only 1-3 done after one and half days. Way to long. Amazon ripped me off on my new computer so it went back today. I hope to order a rendering monster. I was looking for suggestions, but got none. Right now I am looking at a GTX 980TI or a Quntro 5000. Funny apparently no one makes one with a GTX titan, which I did find at newegg but it was out of stock.

I like both versions but the left is more preferable. she has the most realistic skin. I will not use studio, but a few artists has been doing some realistic renders, but I think the same is possible with Poser 11. I would like to think that I get close sometimes

Looks great, but I prefer my Daz-Studio, it's much easier to handle! 😄

Nice to see some compatibility with Genesis on the horizon for us die-hard, V4, Poser users. I'm anxious to try the plug-in by Willdial when I finally manage to get the upgrade to Poser 11 Pro, and start playing with Superfly. Some of the V7 renders look very good in Octane + Red Spec, but at a price! Reality is capable of some amazing results, but tends to be slow, even with Open CL and GPU rendering. Time for yet another hardware upgrade :) Great work on the comparisons!
