Hello! My name is Teri and I've been around for over 69 years in various forms. I am happily married (51 years!), have two daughters and four grandchildren.
I discovered Poser 2 many years ago but didn't do much with it. In 2006 I found a copy of Poser 4 and got interested again. I was working in Poser 10 before I switched to Daz Studio in late 2017. I'm gradually getting the hang of most of it.
When not playing on the computer, I help my husband with his start-up Bio Tech business, refinish furniture, knit, crochet, and read. We grab our grandchildren every chance we get and delight in their antics.
Discovering this community has been a great source of fun and support in trying times.I am amazed at the level of talent I see in both the gallery and the products that are offered. It baffles me how little points on a screen can turn into people or trees and move. I'll always be blond I guess!
Thanks for looking.

Very nice. As for the windows 10 issues, my laptop is having the same. I've learned that the graphics card I have in it has no drivers for windows 10. Had I known, I never would have upgraded. Microsoft failed to warn anyone of that and where it doesn't affect casual users, software like poser and some games are definitely affected. The advice I was given by microsoft was to re-install windows 7 and if I didn't have the CDs (which I don't, it didn't come with the computer) I'd have to buy it.
I've decided to just buy a new laptop when I can.

Excellent scene! I wish I could help you with the issues you're having with Poser 10, but I have a PC, not a Mac. I did have a few problems myself with Poser 10 when I first installed it, in fact I had to install it numerous times before it finally worked for me. I was ready to give up on Poser all together for a while there. I got a lot of answers to my questions from the forums, particularly here on Renderosity, and now it seems to be rendering fine. I hope someone can help you with this, I know how frustrating this can be.

Excellent, my action scenes always seem to look overly posed, unlike this.

a very cinematic moment: It's photograph-like, but very cinematic in that it has a lot of action packed into one moment. Really fine composition, with the elf maiden laid out beautifully at the warrior's feet (well, behind them), with a very theatrical lighting---intense, almost super-real (as in theater). And the warrior is angled to our left, while her gaze and shield are angled to our right---real balance there. It's a small point, but it makes for a strong and beautiful composition.
And your use of background is splendid: It's all framed by the arch in the back and the arch in front, and those big beautiful pillars on each side. (Marble, I assume.) And they stand/lie on tiered marble slabs, again very theatrical (like something from Ancient Greek theater, in the round). Your light is filled with a silvery, chrome-like yellow---it has a silvery tone to it, which is dramatic and beautiful. Almost as if this were tinged in bronze. And the greens and pale pink-peach-ambers in the background are very restful against all this drama. In fact, those tones are present in the two women as well. And the clothes, gowns, etc are placed on both women beautifully.
Happy Birthday!!! I'm a few days late, but it's never too late to say it. (I found out in Yves' gallery.) I hope you had a fine time, and that it lasts more than one day. And re your problems with Poser and your Mac: I know Mac's but not Poser...so I'm of no use there. But I can tell you that it never hurts to get better graphics cards and the best processors you can get (if it's possible to upgrade the mac you have). Will that solve your Poser problem? I have no idea. But it will make everything better overall. Hopefully some of your many fans will be able to help you with Poser...Photoshop is as far as I go, visually. I tried Painter, but the results were so awful, I wouldn't show them to a cockroach...Anyway, a very finely conceived image, and it suits your tale perfectly.

This is a great scene - lots of action. I have a Mac, but I don't use Poser. It's probably your video card. Does Poser have a setting where you can tell it what video card you are using? The reason I mention it is because I was having a similar issue with Vue grinding to a halt, but there was a display setting that I found and when I changed it, it made a lot of difference. Sorry I can't be of more help.
