Description

Here’s Liz depicted as a soldier. I’m particularly happy with the way this image turned out. Hopefully other people will agree and it’s not just because I dropped myself on my head when I was little, again when I was a teenager, and not to mention all the other concussions I’ve given myself… I digress, I probably had too much coffee and cacao this morning… It’s got me feeling like I just wanna party! I'm planning on offering the flames I made for this image as a prop on my website here soon. Give me like, say, 24 hrs to package them up and upload them.... WOW !! THe atmosphere in this image is absolutely impressive !!!!!

Thanks!!! I wanted to give the impression she's surrounded by burning buildings. So, I put an emissive shader on all the flames emitting at 2700k and put a spot light in front of her to the left side of the image also emitting at 2700k. Then for a fill light I used that free sunset HDR image I link to on my website with it's environment intensity turned down to .5 I think. For the background that wasn't filled in by the environment, I just layered dark grey, almost black, behind the rendered portion of the image. I typically don't have much luck with letting "Draw Dome" fill in that part of the background...
