Description
Second of the 'promised' shots today..
Here is a really close up shot of the inside of the Comet's cockpit, all the instruments are originals, no added items, it never leaves the area..
Thus no Sat Nav needed.
See how tight the fit is, this all the way to Australia!!!
Other cockpit shots and other details available from here, a fine event..

GACK! Claustrophobia! And all the way to Australia! I wonder what enticed him to do that? Money? Or love? Or.... What some people will put themselves through for whatever.... must be very deeply rooted to put oneself through such a llloooonnnnggg trip in such a small space. Now, as for the photo, good job conveying the simplicity of the instrumentation and the cramped quarters. What if he got leg cramps out over the ocean? What a hell that would be! All I can say is I admire him. And your excellent photo. Keep up the good work! :-)

T.Rex says it all. WOW!

Hi Rob, Fascinating glider. When a person flies a glider you do so with only the barest of essential instruments and this is it. Reminds me of what I had in a Piper Cub back in the late 60s. Will send you a site mail soon to see how things are going. Bill (bmac62)

A tight fit, indeed. You don't get in and sit down, you put it on like a suit.... :-P
Cool view of the business office!
