Every city has areas like this, and they're always a little melancholy and mysterious after hours. You caught that feeling totally. I love the sudden red and purple of the 2 vehicles. And near center? That beautiful woman in a standout yellow (with shades of green). Maybe looking for her next connection, or maybe waiting for some guy, or heading to an out of the way club around the corner. She's beautifully lit, great choice of hair color and great shoes. And the background is real urban backyard stuff, the warehouse and loading dock areas right outside glitzy downtowns. (Chicago's got whole spreads of these.) The loneliness of the loading dock when everyone's gone home (I worked on the docks many years, and I assume you visit these everyday in your work). A melancholy piece with knockout accents, and great placement of the woman. Really well done, Steve.
