I look at some of these images and always wonder, what is it that is missing.... I think it's the eyes. You really have to model and texture the eyes to provide that extra bit of realism which will help sell the scene. I think she may look a little stiff, but it's the eyes that scream CG image to me. Other than that, I think some disturbance in the sand around her is needed. Unless she got there and sat completely still for a few days as the wind formed the ripples in the sand around her. I like the lighting. maybe up the intensity a little more, that will harden her shadow a little and make it seem hotter! Good work... Cheers!

You are correct about the eyes, there is something about the way they are constructed in Daz Studio that always makes them look glassy. The sand was a texture, but I think it contained a normal map. If so it should be possible to add some disturbances.
Good comments, if I get some time they are worth investigation...
