Description

Carcassonne is well known for its Medieval City, in the Unesco World heritage sites. It is in the south (West) of France. Here a part of the walls you can see at night, from the new city at the bottom. In April, there are not too many visitors and, as the few hotels inside the old city are expensive, you can walk easily after the crowd is gone. It's between 2 and 3 hours driving from my village. Cheers!

One of Europe's best preserved medieval cities. I was there 1966. Amazing, but a steep climb! This photo is wonderful - great lighting. More photos from inside? Keep up the good work! :-)

My rating - 6+ !
