Description
I've posted other photos of this statue of Buddha in my backyard before, hence the "#3". I managed to take his photo before my wife, who is an obsessive leaf raker, got to it last fall...
Please zoom.

What shame about the leaf raking! Those colours are magical! And now he sits there wondering where all the insects are going to live now their habitat is destroyed. The composition is incredibly satifying, marvellous.

I really love this version with the colorful leaves. How nice that you were swift enough to capture it before your wife got to the leaves. :) I got a chuckle from that.

Any statue of a Buddha is welcome in my house/garden as well, I find it such a calming and relaxing influence and this one is no exception, simply divine... and those colourful Autumn leaves come as a bonus - a spectacular vision.

Always happy to see your buddha here. Your treatment of the colors is very strong, and the pink undertones of the fence and tree make a peaceful introspective contrast to those bright leaves, and the bright light on the meditating buddha. A peaceful but radiating photo. You've done him proud in your gallery...
(did I tell you this joke? I mean there are maybe 3 buddha jokes, so you gotta keep 'm alive...hope I didn't tell this before:
A guy goes to a Buddhist monastery, and joins. The abbot says, "you can join, but you must follow 1 rule: We practice silence. But once every 10 years, you can go to the head master, and you're allowed to speak 2 words to him. That's all. Do you agree?
The guy says, "absolutely". And he joins.
After 10 years, he goes to the head master and says: "Bed hard." After another 10 years, he goes to the head master and says: "Food cold." Finally, after another 10 years, he goes to the head master and says: "I quit." The head master says: "Doesn't surprise me: Ya haven't stopped bitching since ya got here!"
